Since 1986, I have been a parent educator, parent coach, and trainer. Teaching for the California Parenting Institute in Santa Rosa, CA provided the laboratory for information and experience. I have helped to author, Stress Passages: Surviving Life's Transitions Gracefully , published by Celestial Arts in Berkeley, California. My contributions are reflected in the chapters on Pre-Natal Stress Management, Parenting and Stress, Children and Stress, and Adolescence and stress.
I have had the opportunity to teach/coach in the following areas:
- Parenting and Stress
- Parenting the New Born
- Parenting the Toddler
- Positive Discipline
- Parenting the Teenager
- Single Parenting (Developed Course and Training Materials)
- Parenting in the "Blended Family"
- Balancing Work and Parenting
- Effective Family Communication
Since 1988, I have been speaking and consulting. My work has me traveling for presentations to organizations, businesses, and associations. Employees or members of these major groups have benefited from my presentations or coaching:

It is almost always a benefit to have an experienced parenting coach in your corner. .
My husband, John Mason, Ph.D, and I are parents to two boys. We are engaged in enhancing the skills of parents. Through classes, coaching, our books and tapes, we hope to improve parents' abilities for self-care and to offer tools for coping with the many, ever-changing issues of our children. |
